Culture Change

Intr-unul dintre articolele sale despre metodologia Agile, Martin Fowler remarca:

"Many companies operate with a command and control model which assumes that seniors make decisions and lower level people carry them out. To make agile methods work you need much more autonomy and decision making by the doers.

We find this to be a big problem in western companies, but the problem is amplified in Asia since Asian cultures reinforce deference to superiors. (A training course I saw from a major Indian contracting company defined management as "the science of control".) In this environment people are often discouraged from asking questions, talking about problems, warning about unfeasible deadlines, or proposing alternatives to perceived instructions from superiors."

Din pacate partea cu mediul de lucru il resimt din ce in ce mai mult in compania in care lucrez, companie care vrea sa aduca proiecte din Asia aici, fara insa a schimba managerii sau modul de lucru al acestora...
